Or when you were 15 and you took your dads car out a week before your birthday? It wasn't your fault, the prettiest girl in school wanted to hang out with you. What are you supposed to do, ride a bike? Pulling in the driveway at 4 A.M. you see your Dad sitting in the garage. Looks like someone wont be getting their license on their 16th birthday.
Maybe you got caught smoking pot, came home drunk, lied to your parents, took a $20 out of their wallet, called from a jail cell, or got a GPA of 1.5 on your report card. Doesn't matter the severity, in the end we all got...
Grounded!
I hated being grounded. I still went out most of the time, but I hated the loops I had to go through. Can't go out a front door, so I had to hop out the window. Wasn't allowed to drive, so I pushed the car down the driveway before starting it. Getting the cell phone taken away sucked too. Your friends get the numbers confused and decide it's a good idea to call your house at 1 in the morning.
Your parents don't trust you at all, and give you that "hesitant" look every time you go into the kitchen. For those of you who got your computers taken away.....oh man. Once you get "ungrounded", asking for a penny for the mini pony is like asking for a bag of crack. Life just becomes more of a hassle and a major inconvenience, instead of a pleasure we shouldn't take for granted.
That being said...go get grounded!
Yes, go find something that really interests you. Find your own beliefs, create your own goals, be your own person, and live life comfortably knowing who you are. Get grounded. When people ask you what you believe in, you don't have to hesitate or feel awkward in your response. IT'S YOUR OPINION, if they are asking for anything else then that, they aren't worth associating with. Decide you wanna spread maneur as a career because you love the outdoors, and the free cow poop. You might be grounded from the knees up. Make decisions that are going to make YOU happy, not making you miserable and falsely satisfying someone else.
Just wake up in the morning knowing it's YOUR life, and He has kept us Grounded.
Quote of the post: "Electricity can be dangerous. My nephew tried to stick a penny into a plug. Whoever said a penny doesn't go far didn't see him shoot across that floor. I told him he was grounded."Tim Allen
